Annual Gala

In 2016, we hosted the 1st Annual Lion's Pride Gala, which was attended by 400 community supporters and netted the Brownwood Education Foundation approximately $50,000 in profit to be distributed as innovative teaching grants and teacher appreciation awards. We hosted the 2nd Annual Lion's Pride Gala, entitled A 40's Affair, on October 14th, 2017. We celebrated the 1940's era with the sounds and celebrations of the Big Bands, while enjoying dinner and dancing! The annual BHS Alumni of the Year Award and Lion Legacy Award were presented, as well.

Highlights

  • The event was held at the historic main hanger at the Brownwood Regional Airport, creating the perfect backdrop for a 1940's venue.
  • Guests enjoyed an open bar, dining, and a celebrity dessert bar, and dancing to a live band!
  • A live and silent auction assisted in raising funds for the evening.
