​The major focus of the Brownwood Education Foundation is to assist BISD in maximizing the student experience within our schools.  To that end, we know that our teachers have the most influence on our students.  Recognition of excellence in teaching is one of our highest priorities as a Foundation.  In order to produce students who have been given the best opportunities to learn while attending a BISD school, we understand that we must put the most qualified of teachers in front of them and arm those teachers with the support they need to bring innovation, excitement and motivation to the classroom on a daily basis.  Our Excellence in Teaching awards program honors teaching at various levels, as well as paraprofessional staff, support staff, and volunteers in our schools.  By honoring those who truly excel in their professions, we hope to motivate and inspire others to “Reach for the Stars” in bringing their best to our children!
